How we use AI
Every article, lesson, quiz and game is drafted with AI assistance and checked by a named human editor before it is published.
What the tools do
AI writing tools produce the first draft of each page from a plan: the question the page answers, the points it has to cover, the rules it may state and who sets them, the worked example with its sums, and the pages it should link to. The same tools help with editing passes, such as cutting repetition and varying sentence rhythm, and with checking a draft against the house rules.
Who checks each page
Every page is checked by a named human editor, John James, John Todora, Lovely Oryza or Beth Rue, before it goes live. The credit at the top reads "AI-assisted, reviewed by the Just The Markets human editor:" followed by that editor's name, and it links here. There is no unnamed editor role, so each credit names the person who did the check.
The editor goes through the arithmetic in every worked example, quiz, game and calculator, and checks that each formula matches its standard definition. Rules attributed to the SEC, FINRA, the IRS or the Options Clearing Corporation have to read the way those bodies state them, and anything a broker or firm sets for itself has to be described as such. Any claim the page cannot support comes out. A page that fails on any of these goes back for rework.
The credit is for the check. It does not say the editor wrote the page, and no one named on the site is presented as having a trading record, a credential or a personal story.
Where the numbers come from
Every number in the articles, lessons, quizzes and games comes from one of these sources:
- formulas and definitions, such as diluted earnings per share, a dividend coverage ratio, a discounted cash flow or the compound return of a run of gains and losses;
- published rules named with their source, such as the SEC's registration requirements for a share offering or the way the Options Clearing Corporation adjusts contracts after a corporate action;
- worked examples on hypothetical companies, portfolios, positions and rule sets, with round figures and every step shown, so you can repeat the sum with your own.
No page quotes market statistics, backtest results, win rates, pass rates or study findings, and no company appears next to a price, return or fee.
What AI is never used for
- Inventing sources, statistics, quotations, prices, rates or company data.
- Creating author personas, biographies or personal anecdotes.
- Picking stocks or rating brokers, prop firms or funds.
- Producing the price moves in the games as if they were real: every move there is made up to illustrate a decision.
- Writing alt text for photos without checking it against the image.
Who is accountable
Just The Markets publishes every page and is responsible for what it says. If you find an error, write to [email protected] with the page address. Corrections are made on the page itself, and the updated date changes. The wider rules are in the editorial policy.
